A Sound Work for Cello and Full Moon
As part of the internationally renowned Music Festival in Marvão, artist Igor Sacharow-Ross has been invited to create a unique work that explores the relationship between sound, light, space, and perception.
The premiere will take place on the night of the full moon, July 29, 2026, inside the historic fortress of Marvão.
Together with cellist Pirii Pimentel Rodrigues, Sacharow-Ross is developing an immersive sound experience in which music, architecture, and natural forces become inseparable.

Exhibition Opening
An exhibition by Igor Sacharow-Ross will open simultaneously at the Museu Municipal and the Casa da Cultura Marvão.
Bringing together new and existing works, the exhibition invites visitors into the artist’s ongoing exploration of vibration, resonance, sound, and what he calls the “voice of the moon.”
Drawings, objects, and symbolic full-moon scores reveal a body of research situated between science, mythology, and artistic imagination.
